The food at Fairlawns was bangin' — fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable! The garden vibes were top-notch, creating a serene oasis right in the city. Also, gotta shoutout the lovely spa, perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The coffee situation was a total letdown. instant coffee in a 5-star? Nah, mate! Also, I got a room with no courtyard view even though I paid for it, and the TV options were pretty dismal. Honestly, not what I expected for the price.

A serene retreat in the city
Waking up to a beautiful garden view was such a pleasant surprise. The staff treated me like I was their only guest, making every moment feel special.
However, the noise from nearby rooms often disrupted my peaceful nights. It felt like I was part of a busy boarding school instead of a tranquil hotel.

Had a fantastic time with friends! We enjoyed the beautiful garden setting, went to the annual Best of Joburg Readers' choice awards event, and had a great time at the nearby spa. Staff was friendly, and the grounds were well kept. Just a heads up, some rooms may have quirky layouts.
We dealt with some maintenance issues in our rooms. lights were out in one. They fixed it fast, but it did reflect some management oversight.

The Chateau Suite was super comfy! The bed felt like a cloud, and the decor was really nice. I loved the clean and spacious bathroom too. Reception made us feel welcome right from the start. Just a few crumbs left from the last guests around the coffee area, but overall, it was a cozy spot to unwind. Also, the gardens outside were beautiful, adding to the charm of the place.
